Voltas Profit Up 53%, Kwality Wall's Loss Narrows in Q2

Voltas recorded a 53% rise in net profit for the second quarter, while Kwality Wall's narrowed its loss, according to NDTV Profit's live coverage of quarterly earnings published on Friday, 6 November 2026.

The two companies were among a large group of Indian firms reporting results that day. NDTV Profit's headline paired the Voltas profit increase with the smaller loss at Kwality Wall's, though the report did not set out the underlying figures behind either move.

The day's results were mixed across sectors. BusinessLine's coverage of the same earnings cycle put Voltas' profit growth at 51%, a slightly different figure from NDTV Profit's 53%. BusinessLine also reported that Hindalco's second-quarter profit jumped, that Aster DM and Gland Pharma each rose 58%, and that Siemens grew 5%, while Bosch, Coromandel and Honasa posted lower profits.

Separately, The Economic Times reported that Hindalco's revenue climbed 39% year on year to Rs 91,708 crore, with profit up 59% on a one-time gain. Business Standard reported that Hindalco flagged constraints on coal supply and expects aluminium costs to rise about 5%.

Friday's slate of announcements also included Data Patterns and Great Eastern Shipping, which Upstox listed among the companies due to report earnings.

Investors will be watching for the detailed filings behind these headline numbers, particularly the drivers of Voltas' profit growth and the path back to profitability at Kwality Wall's, along with any further comment from Hindalco on coal supply and input costs.
